Our story

Built in a quiet kitchen, before he arrives.

Nurturly started the way most baby apps probably should — with a first-time dad trying to get ready.

My first son is due soon. While getting the room ready and going through every parenting app I could find, I kept hitting the same wall — the clinical ones felt like spreadsheets, and the cute ones felt like toys.

So I built something else. Soft colors. One tap to log. A timeline worth scrolling through years from now. No streaks. No 3 a.m. alerts. No paywalls that appear right when you can't deal with them.

I called it Nurturly — because that's the feeling I want those early months to have. Calm. Present. Worth keeping.

It's a one-person project, built in Switzerland. I answer my own support emails. I'm building it for myself, a few months before I actually need it.

That feels like the right way to build something.

What we believe

Five small principles that keep us honest.

Calm beats clever.

If a feature requires a tutorial, we redesign it. If it can't be explained in one sentence to a sleep-deprived parent, it doesn't ship.

Privacy is a promise, not a setting.

Encrypted by default. No analytics. No data brokers. We make money the old-fashioned way — people pay us for software they like.

Memory matters more than metrics.

The point isn't a 47-day streak. It's that, ten years from now, you can scroll back and find the night your baby first slept through.

Parenting takes a village.

We want every parent in the picture — partner, grandparent, sitter, friend. A journal should bring people closer, not lock anyone out.

Small & ours.

No outside investors, no growth-at-all-costs roadmap. We grow at the pace that lets us still answer every email by Friday.

The next eighteen years matter.

We design Nurturly for the long arc — first smile to first day of school. Our software should age beautifully, like a keepsake box.

The person behind it.

One dad, one baby on the way, one app. I answer support myself.
